About Kaylin Zabienski

Kaylin received her Master’s of Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2013. During her internships, she worked with diverse populations, such as youth in the foster system, adults and teens experiencing addiction, LGBTQ families and individuals, as well as individuals with more severe mental health and personality disorders.

With all of that experience Kaylin found that she enjoyed and worked best with women who are stressed and anxious, unable to live authentically and joyfully.

Kaylin is influenced by existential questions like “what is the meaning of life?” and “How do I know if I am happy?” She tries to help her clients find their own individual truth to answer those questions, because she deeply believes that it is intrinsically an individual answer that cannot be applied to everyone.

Kaylin became a certified yoga teacher in November, 2019 and has been using yoga philosophy in her sessions since. Yoga and mental health treatment have a lot of parallels, and Kaylin enjoys being able to help her clients connect to themselves and their bodies in new ways.

Kaylin began her private practice in January 2021, after a divinely timed layoff and department closure at her job. Kaylin has an all virtual therapy practice and teaches yoga on the side. Her philosophy with having an online practice is that it is important to be able to create a place of safety within your own home, rather than coming to my specially curated office. After all that’s where life happens.
